Scaling Props in Proportion + Alignment
Hello, Using Arkio on Quest 1. I've imported small props that I need to scale up to 1:1. How do I scale these objects without distorting them? I can only seem to free transform. Additionally, how do I scale up to a specific height. ie: import a chair at 7" high and want it to be 20" high without distorting the object?
Also, when these objects are imported I can't seem to position them exactly on the ground. The object will fall through the floor and they do not seem to snap to any alignment.
Thanks for your help

Hi Justin Lew, sorry for the late reply. In our latest 1.3.0 update we default to orthogonal edits whenever using either the controller/hand to modify geometry or when using the edit tool with the laser, previously the controller/hand edits defaulted to free transform. You can still toggle between ortho and free mode in the tool options on the bracelet.
If you want to scale a chair like that, you can now just grab one of the corners and drag the chair to the right size - you'll see a guide you can snap to in order to keep the object proportional.
You should be able to place imported objects on the ground or on other native Arkio geometry, but imported objects won't collide with other imported objects. When moving objects around it may help to use the move tool with the laser instead of holding them with your hand, if you're e.g. trying to align to a surface, but this is something we're continuously fine-tuning. If it's not too much of a bother it would be helpful if you could record the cases you find most difficult and send to us at support@arkio.is, we're happy to take a look at what's going on.
