LiDAR Export from Scaniverse to Arkio
First of all,
I’m BLOWN AWAY at what you’ve built. I’m obsessed. This is the first creator app I’ve found that has already implemented hand tracking features. While they aren’t perfect, it’s just so innovative to use our hands to create without controllers or pens.
One small thing - The share button doesn’t appear in Scaniverse on ipad to export to arkio from obj. Not sure the workaround here other than exporting to file and then importing obj from files.
Love the tutorials - how you’re using meta avatars, and the seamless pipeline to go from one software to the next. This feels like a Swiss Army knife in combination with a few other softwares like Gravity Sketch. Thank you thank you thank you. CAN’T wait to show you what I create.

Hi and thanks for all your comments! Great to hear you like Arkio.
Regarding LiDAR import from Scaniverse or other scanning apps, please make sure to install the Arkio iOS app and run it before trying to export directly from Scaniverse. The Export to Arkio option will be available in Scaniverse as soon as you select Share -> Export Model -> OBJ (or GLB), you'll see "Export to Arkio" in the list of actions available below the Copy function. Once you've exported to Arkio, you can switch to Arkio and find your export in the Imports UI in the Create tool in the iOS app.
The trial signups are per device, i.e. you can start a new trial on each device. The trial license code doesn't transfer across devices, unlike our paid, floating license codes.
As for meetings, please make sure to use the exact same room name and passwords on all devices. In case there is a space before or after user name/password, that may get recognized as a different room, something we're fixing in the next release. We just confirmed that meetings work across devices, trying between iPad, PC and Quest. If you continue to have issues, feel free to reach out to us directly at support@arkio.is.
Comment actions -
Signed up on ipad for free trial, and then attempted to enter floating license on quest - it wouldn’t take it so I entered a different email, and then gave me the same floating license - now perhaps I have two accounts, not sure, seems to be a bit confusing for onboarding.
The meeting rooms don’t seem to work - I’ll create a room on ipad and then click on the meeting button and type in the same room name and password w/ a different username but it seems to create two unique rooms on the two devices and doesn’t connect them.
