OBJ import tests - performance - how to reset?

    Hi Merten,

Thanks for posting your question. As the Quest uses a mobile processor we suggest keeping your imported 3D models below 100.000 polygons. You can find some practical tips on how to optimize your 3D geometry in our help center.

Arkio always starts with your latest saved user file that now contains a too heavy 3D import so we have to make sure that the troublesome file is no longer there before starting the app. We can do this by connecting your Quest to a PC and going to the following path to delete the latest saved user file. (sort by date edited)

    Quest\Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.arkio.arkio\files\Arkio\UserModels

To make sure the troublesome 3D file will no longer cause problems next time you use Arkio on the Quest you can also clean the following paths

    Quest\Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.arkio.arkio\files\ResourceCache
    Quest\Internal shared storage\Arkio\Imports\Models

Hope this helps! Let us know if you would have more questions or ideas for loading your 3D files.

Thanks Johan, that worked. Back in action. A single of my test OBJ works fine. I had pulled the trigger too long and inserted multiples which killed performance.
