If you encounter trouble starting Arkio after installing the PC version using the standalone installer or via the Meta or Steam stores, it's possible that some (enterprise) security settings may be blocking Arkio from launching correctly.
We've heard some users having issues with the following
- The Unity crash handler that may come packaged with Arkio may be causing issues. To fix the issue, please locate the directory Arkio was installed in and rename the file UnityCrashHandler64.exe to UnityCrashHandler64.exe.old.
- Virus scanners or Firewalls may prevent Arkio from installing or running correctly. You can whitelist Arkio on these tools if you notice that files are being blocked, and contact us with any questions or concerns about Arkio's files and permissions.
- Windows Defender Ransomware protection can prevent Arkio from creating the correct user folders in your documents.
