Split

Using the split tool you can split all primitive shapes in Arkio into horizontal fragments. This is useful for creating building floors/stories from a mass or to split a sculpted shape into the fragments you need.

When using the split tool you'll see a preview of the split on the laser intersection on the shape if a split is possible - and using the trigger you create a split at this location. When the split is made the top part of the volume is automatically glued and snapped to the base so the resulting volume will still be grouped and can still be easily picked up and adjusted using the move or edit tool.

Distorted and carved volumes can also be split using this tool (as long as the resulting sub shapes has the original number of faces) so it can also be used for design experimentation.
