Arkio’s tools are all accessible via the main menu. There are currently three ways to show the menu:
1) Left-hand palette twist your left palm to show the menu as a pallet, To close the menu you reverse the gesture
2) floating menu quickly press the controller menu button to show the menu floating in front of you, the menu can be closed again by grabbing the menu at the center and throwing it away
3) quick selection menu hold the controller menu button to quickly toggle between the main tools by pointing in the direction of the tools
Moving the menu
You can always grab the menu from the center point using the trigger on any controller and put it in a comfortable fixed position in the scene - also try to do that with the asset or materials drawers.
Favorites
The first ring of Arkio's Main Menu acts as a favorites palette and allows you to drag and drop your favorite objects and colors from the corresponding drawers. The outer ring contains all the primary editing tools where an outline shows the active tool for that controller. The inner ring acts as a shortcut to your favorite paint materials for newly created primitive shapes.
Menu tools
You can use the laser to select a tool by aiming at the icon and pulling the trigger or physically touching the menu button using your index finger holding the controller or using hand-tracking. From the top, clockwise the primary editing tools are:
Edit - Pul faces, edges and vertices to stretch the shapes to their required form
Delete - Delete objects in the scene, toggle between individual faces or the full object on your wristband
Paint - Apply materials to the model, either by face or to a whole object at once - toggle between the two options on your wristband
Sketch - start drawing a free-form sketch on any existing surface in Arkio
Move - Pick up and move objects and their children with the laser. You can rotate and duplicate the object you are holding by pressing or swiping the thumbstick or trackpad
Group - Group objects together using a selection cube
Create - Create new geometry and objects depending on the primitive or asset selected
Pin - Pin objects in the scene to disable moving/editing/deleting of the objects
