Quest for Business
Meta recently rolled out Quest for Business, making it easier to manage a fleet of Quest headsets and deploy customized apps to them. Next to deploying custom applications via APK files, you can also allow users to install selected apps from the official Meta Quest store like Arkio.
When installing apps via the Quest store apps can access Meta-specific features like their avatars and shared anchors for co-located Mixed Reality. These features are not supported when using custom-deployed APK files. Installing apps from the Quest store also prevents your IT from having to manually update APK files to keep Arkio compatible with all other devices.
You can deploy Arkio to your fleet of devices by adding it to your app library from the "Discover apps" tab on your device tab.
From here you can add Arkio to your apps and individual devices or as a device profile that will be distributed to all your devices.
After this, your Quest for Business users will find the Arkio app under their apps and "For work" in their Quest app library.
ArborXR
Using ArborXR users can also add official Meta Store apps to your app library so you can still simplify app access on your fleet of Quest devices for your users. You can learn more about the steps to add apps like Arkio to your AnborXR fleet here:
