The review panel in Arkio has everything you need to explore and inspect your Arkio scenes and imported models together with others. You can find this panel in your main menu under the eye icon or on the left bottom side from your 2D UI in Arkio.
The review panel currently has 3 tabs on the bottom to switch between Saved Views, BIM Data, and View settings.
View Settings Panel
View settings allow you to control the active view settings for your current scene for everyone in your Arkio meeting. They also show statistics about your scene size with the number of triangles, props, and materials shown.
Material modes
You can switch between the 4 current material modes in Arkio using the top toggles
Normal - Normal rendering of all materials as default in Arkio or imported
X-ray - Make all normal render material transparent to look inside your models
Programs - Program mode where all Arkio geometry can be assigned with programs for area calculations
White - Temporary replace all default materials of Arkio with a white material
View setting toggles
Saved views will show the actively saved views in your model so you can see what viewpoints are currently available. This can be helpful for tours and managing your models.
Sticky note visibility controls whether the sticky notes should be hidden in your current scene or not. This can be useful for reviewing a model without being distracted by some of the pending notes that are still in the model.
Shadows control if the real-time sun and shadows are enabled or disabled. This can help boost your device performance for larger scenes and will affect how many triangles can be actively rendered when you are viewing larger models.
Scene statistics
Number of triangles shown/loaded
This number is formatted as ...K/...M where K stands for thousand (1.000) and M for a million (1.000.000) triangles. All triangles are counted as totals of the number of triangles from Arkio geometry, Arkio props, and all imported geometry in the scene
The first number shows the active number of triangles rendered for your current view on your device. The later number shows the total number of triangles loaded in the scene. The total number can be much higher as Arkio will automatically reduce the number of triangles visible based on your device's capabilities to prevent low performance or crashing your device.
Number of props loaded
Each Arkio 3D prop and imported file counts as an individual mesh prop. The more props you have loaded in your scene the heavier the rendering will be for mobile devices. If you placed a lot of small mesh objects in your scene performance might be lower. You can remedy this by removing some of the props or combining imported props into one larger prop.
Number of materials loaded
The number of materials is important for mobile devices as they can't handle as many draw calls as typical desktop devices. If you are experiencing low performance on a device without many triangles in the scene there might be a performance issue with the total number of materials loaded into Arkio. You can optimize this by cleaning and reducing the number of unique materials in the original models before you export the models to Arkio.
